ALLYSON HONAKER has more than fifteen years' experience in utility law. In addition to operating Honaker Law Office, she serves as General Counsel for the Kentucky Gas Association. Prior to establishing Honaker Law Office, Allyson was a partner at Goss Samford, PLLC, where she was involved in cases on behalf of electric, natural gas and water utilities, solar developments and telecommunications companies. Previously, Allyson served as a staff attorney with the Kentucky Public Service Commission where she primarily handled cases involving natural gas rates and service, accident investigations, cell tower siting and telecommunications law. Prior to working at the PSC, Allyson served as a law clerk to Judge Gary Payne of the Fayette Circuit Court, as an Assistant Fayette County Attorney and as an attorney in private practice. In addition to her work in the energy and utility industries, Allyson uses her experience as a former prosecutor to serve as a guest instructor of law enforcement officer recruits at the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training Center in Richmond, Kentucky. Allyson completed her undergraduate work at Pikeville College and earned her law degree from the University of Kentucky. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky and all courts in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Allyson and her husband Jeremy live in Richmond, Ky., with their two sons, Riley and Reece.
